Terms & Conditions

These terms govern use of the Bare Bones Mechanics website and its service-request and scheduling links. Submitting a request or selecting a calendar time does not by itself create a confirmed appointment or require Bare Bones Mechanics to accept a job.

Requests, quotes, and confirmation

Customers must provide accurate vehicle, location, and contact information. After reviewing a request, Bare Bones Mechanics may ask questions, decline work, or issue a quote. A selected time is provisional until the quote is accepted, required payment is received, and confirmation is provided.

Pricing and payment

Quotes are based on the information available at the time. Additional faults, incorrect customer information, inaccessible components, or changed parts requirements may affect the final price. Payment terms, deposits, cancellation rules, and refund eligibility stated in an individual quote or invoice control for that job.

Mobile service conditions

The customer must provide a safe, legal, reasonably level, and accessible work location and obtain any property permission required. Service may be postponed or declined because of weather, unsafe conditions, vehicle condition, location restrictions, or the need for shop equipment.

Parts and customer-supplied items

Parts selection and warranty terms will be described in the applicable quote. Customer-supplied parts may be declined and may not carry a labor or parts warranty unless agreed in writing.

Vehicle condition and authorization

The customer represents that they own the vehicle or are authorized to approve work. Diagnostics may reveal additional issues. No additional paid work will be performed without authorization, except actions reasonably necessary to prevent immediate damage or address a safety concern.

Website information

Website content is general information and is not a diagnosis, guarantee, or substitute for an in-person inspection. Service availability may change without notice.

Liability

To the extent permitted by North Carolina law, Bare Bones Mechanics is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, pre-existing damage, undisclosed vehicle conditions, or losses caused by inaccurate customer information. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina. Individual written quotes, invoices, and warranty terms may contain additional job-specific conditions.
